Overall objective is to provide documentation to demonstrate that the country is free from indigenous circulation of wild polio virus any imported wild polioviruses for at least three years would be readily detected<\/p>\n

The purpose of the committee is to monitor the country-wide progress of the eradication activities. The committee has also been entrusted with the responsibility of examining and assessing the data on the Polio incidence in the country and to make necessary suggestions and recommendations for improving the systems of gathering evidence for documentation of the work on data collection and analysis. The other functions of the committee is to interact with the Regional Certification Commission of the South East Asia region, WHO and when necessary undertake field trips for assessing on the spot situation. The committee will prepare the Country report for certification when the country becomes polio free. Annual reports are also prepared and submitted to SEAR-WHO.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
