SOMAARTH \u2013 Demographic Development and Environmental Surveillance Site (DDESS)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n
In 2009, INCLEN established it’s first D<\/u><\/strong>emographic D<\/u><\/strong>evelopment and E<\/u><\/strong>nvironmental S<\/u><\/strong>urveillance S<\/u><\/strong>ite (DDESS) in Haryana (60 Kms from New Delhi). The DDESS site is known as SOMAARTH-PALWAL encompassing 51 contiguous villages from three blocks with over 200,000 population<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
In 2018, INCLEN established it’s second D<\/u><\/strong>demographic D<\/u><\/strong>development and E<\/u><\/strong>environmental S<\/u><\/strong>surveillance S<\/u><\/strong>ite (DDESS) in Bareilly District,Uttar Pradesh (270 Km from New Delhi). This DDESS site is known as SOMAARTH-BAREILLY encompassing 45 contiguous villages from three blocks with over 90,000 population<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
In 2020, INCLEN established it\u2019s third D<\/u><\/strong>emographic D<\/u><\/strong>evelopment and E<\/u><\/strong>nvironmental S<\/u><\/strong>urveillance S<\/u><\/strong>ite (DDESS) in Mawphlang, East Khasi Hills District (EKHD) (150 Kms from Guwahati and 25 Km from Shillong, Meghalaya). The DDESS site is known as SOMAARTH-MAWPHLANG encompassing 206 contiguous villages Mawphlang and Sohiong Blocks of East Khasi Hills District with over 1,00,000 population<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

 SOMAARTH is a Sanskrit word meaning :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
SOM <\/strong>– highest form of physical, mental and spiritual health<\/td>\n+<\/td>\nARTH<\/strong>\u2013 money, wealth and resources<\/td>\n=<\/td>\nSOMAARTH <\/strong>\u2013 synergy between economic development, environmental changes, social changes and health of the individual, family and community<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

It is a cross-sectoral initiative to develop novel, innovative and real world solutions that helps to create healthier, prosperous and sustainable communities<\/p>\n

It integrates real time geospatial surveillance to document economic, environment and demographic transitions and their interplay’s<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
